TNPSC Agricultural Officer Recruitment 2023 Notification Released: After 2021, the recruitment drive for an Agricultural Officer will again fulfil the dreams of aspirants waiting for the post. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released 93 vacancies for Agricultural Officers (AO), Horticultural Officers and Assistant Directors of Agriculture. On 12th January 2023, the commencement of an online application form for the Tamil Nadu AO recruitment started and the last date for the application is 10th February 2023. The written exam for the Agricultural Officer will be conducted on 20th April 2023.

Eligibility Criteria of Tamil Nadu Agricultural Officer
The Agricultural Officers manage agricultural seeds and goods, farm machinery and livestock sales and purchases. For this work aspirants, need to have basic knowledge of their subject. The commission has given eligibility criteria for the various posts to make the candidate clear about the basic qualifications for the recruitment. The qualification of the candidate is divided into educational criteria, age limit, physical standards and basic knowledge of the Tamil language. These are explained below:
Educational Qualification and Age limit

For the candidates of various categories such as Scheduled Castes, Scheduled tribes, Backward Classes and destitute widows there is no maximum age limit whereas for Ex-Serviceman the maximum age limit is 50 years. The PwBD candidates are also provided with a 10 years age concession.
Physical Fitness Certificate
The commission in the recruitment notification has also released the parameters of eye vision for the candidates. The colour-blinded candidates will not be eligible for this recruitment. The selected candidates for the vacant post have to submit their medical certificates. If their physical fitness is found medically inappropriate then those candidates will be debarred from the recruitment. In the physical fitness test, the candidate should have an appropriate standard of vision. This standard of vision is shown in the given image.

Knowledge of Tamil
Knowledge of Tamil is very important for TNPSC recruitment. For the selection, the candidate must have basic knowledge of Tamil. If a candidate is not fluent in the language then that candidate will also be debarred from the recruitment.

How to apply online for the TNPSC AO 2023 recruitment?
- The candidates applying for the recruitment must visit the Commission’s official website: https://www.tnpsc.gov.in/ or https://apply.tnpscexams.in/.
- Before applying for the application form, candidates need to register themselves in the TNPSC One Time Registration form and linking to an Aadhar card is mandatory. The fee for registration is Rs 150 and this OTR ID and password will be valid for five years.
- The same Telangana PSC OTR ID and password are used to log in for the application form.
- A TNPSC AO form will appear on your screen, fill out the application form.
- Now, Check the form again and the post for which you have applied.
- After checking the Agricultural Officer application form, submit the online application form.
- Save or print the TNPSC AO application form for future reference.
Application Fee Details
For One Time Registration Process, candidates need to deposit Rs 150 whereas Rs 200 must be deposited for the examination fee. After five years the OTR should be renewed by the candidates. The fee for the examination form is only deposited through a Credit card, Debit card or Net banking and no offline mode of payment will be accepted by the commission. The examination fee concession is also provided to candidates of different categories. The table shown below provides the detail of fee concessions for various categories.
