Today is a very big day for every citizen of India, we all are celebrating the 74th Republic day and I m very thank full to my teacher for giving me the opportunity to deliver the speech on this occasion. As all of you already know that every year we all celebrate Republic day to celebrate the victory of India because on this day our constitution came into force. There were a lot of struggles faced by our leaders to approve the constitution of India.

To make the constitution come into force a draft committee was set up by Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar who was also the chairman of the committee. The main motive of the committee was to make the constitution of India come into force which could be the supremacy law of India. The constitution consists of a fundamental political code, structure, powers, procedures and duties of all the government institutions.

The purpose is also to state all the fundamental rights and duties of all the citizens of India. After much discussion and preparations, the committee submitted their first draft of the constitution on 4th November 1947 to the constitutional assembly. At first, the draft prepared by the committee was rejected and finally after 2 and a half years action was taken against the draft. Eventually, the constituent assembly accepted and adopted the constituent will all the necessary amendments.

So to celebrate the victory every year this day is celebrated as a National festival, in every corner of India the citizens celebrated the गणतंत्र दिवस. On this occasion, the parade takes place at Rajpath in the presence of the President. many other activities are also conducted on Republic Day. The president unfurls the national flag and addresses everyone with a speech.

After that, there is also some preparation for the award ceremony where all the soldiers, martyrs, and army civilians are awarded. There is full-on patriotic decoration everywhere there is a use of national Flag colours, Saffron, white, and green. There is a shower of flowers while the president unfurls the flag.

In the end, I would like to wind up my speech by remembering all the great leaders and freedom fighters of our country who did so much for our nation so that we all could live in a democratic country.

Short Speech On Republic Day

Good Morning to each and everyone present over here to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Republic day, My name is … I and studying in class… Today I and going to give you all a short speech on Republic day, I am very grateful to my teacher who gave me this opportunity to share my views on this occasion.

This year all of us are celebrating the 74th Republic Day of our country, and I am really honoured to deliver the speech on this day. There is a history behind why we all celebrate this day as republic day, this is a very memorable event for every Indian and because of this only India became one of the biggest democracies in the world. As of this date Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar has set a Draft committee that works on the constitution of India, he was also the chairman of that committee.

So the members of the committee have made the constitution of India and presented it in front of the assembly. But the decision of the committee was rejected by the assembly, and after two and a half years finally, the assembly accepted the committee’s proposal. On 26th January 1950, the constitution came into the act and this was the biggest achievement for every Indian.

After so much struggle, discussion and consideration the draft was adopted by the assembly on 26th November 1949 but it came into force on 26th January 1950. So every year this date is celebrated as a national festival, where everyone dressed up in tri-colour, saffron, white and green to celebrate the victory.

In the end, I would like to say that India is a democratic country where everyone has the right to choose their leader. India has improved a lot in these years and is building economically, technologically and in many more ways. There might be a few things that are affecting the country like pollution, disease, and unemployment but soon there will be a time when everything will be fine. So let’s pray to keep the surroundings clean and work hard every day and make a new and proud India.
